Well,my friend has got a software on her pc which she doesn’t have any backup of it on a CD or something else. She wants to reinstall her Windows and she cares if she lose it.I don’t know is it possible to backup a software on windows and after reinstallation restore it?
Cause you know! after reinstallation of windows because of cleared registry, all of the softwares will be lost.
so is it possible to backup a software and after reinstalling new windows, have the same software on windows?

(installing two same windows XP)
Even with the windows backup service?

Not if you don’t have the original installation file (ie. a .exe file or .msi).

It is not possible to copy the program’s installation folder and registry settings from one computer to another.

Edit: Even with the windows backup service.
