I need to format my pc to install windows xp but before i need to backup a specific program that i use regularly. The fact is that i no more have the installation cd.
Is there a way to back the complete program from my pc please and reinstall the program again after winxp installation?

It really depends on the program. Most programs aren’t capable of backing up because during installation files are placed in several different locations within the operation system, so it’s not as easy as just copying to the folder under C:\Program Files etc. If it is a less intrusive program/utility you might be able to get away with just copying the appropriate folder under C:\Program Files but the only way to know for sure is to copy it and put it on another system to test it before you reinstall.
